Anti-Inflammatory Benefits Of Fucoidan
5: Fucoidan, sulphated polysaccharides from brown algae, was found to have anti-inflammatory effects on gut inflammation in vivo (In science, in vivo refers to experimentation done in or on the living tissue of a whole, living organism). Fucoidan suppressed IL-8 gene expression. IL-8 is a member of the supergene family of pro- inflammatory (which means capable of promoting inflammation).
